A contributing factor to Humphreys County's low cost of doing business are inexpensive and abundant utility services and incentives. TVA offers reliable, cost-effective electric power through local service provider Meriwether Lewis Electric Co-Op (MLEC). Natural gas and services are provided by the Humphreys County Utility District and water and sewer through local municipalities, McEwen, New Johnsonville and Waverly.
We also partner with MLEC and TVA to provide our industrial customers with cost-saving energy efficiency and upgrades. Available incentives include: Reduction in manufacturer's sales tax or bill credit; Enhanced growth credit or enhanced security deposit; and Rate discount for those willing to be listed as interruptible.
